Television is so predictable now. Even if the storyline for a few episodes gets you on the edge of your seat, the show in general inevitably turns to crap. Especially dramas. CSI, Numbers, etc. It's almost like these writers can't find anything else to come up with in the storyline so they have to put in things like people hooking up with each other, drinking problems, you know personal stuff about the characters that I don't give two left butt cheeks about. Why? CSI has gotten completely ridiculous! It started off great...dead people, investigating crimes, examining evidence, lab rats. How can you go wrong with that?? Then came the personal stuff.....gambling problems, relationships, drinking problems...who cares?! Give me back the smart stuff! I don't care if Warrick has a gambling problem! If you're not going to fire him and take him off the show, it's irrelevant. Every smart drama is the same, they give you all the smart, interesting things in the beginning and then decide their going to try and shove some mediocre personal character issues down your throat. Please stop. For the love of God and all that is holy, just give me a good drama without all that personal, emotionally unstable sideshow crap. Just stick with the subject of he show. Crime Scene Investigation...I want dead bodies and evidence and lab rats and you just show me how and when this person died and who did it. That's it, that's all. Don't even get me started on Numbers. Two questions though, why is it relevant that a genius went into space and came back a complete spiritual enigma? And why should I care about who hooks up with who and who's brother needs a shrink?! It's called Numbers for goodness sake! NUMBERS! Give me the equations and formulas and solve the frikkin' crimes without some characters' lovelife horribly interfering.
Ok, enough of the primetime television talk. For a brief moment I would just like to make a comment regarding HBO's new series "John From Cincinnati". I just watched the season finale where, as they said in the previews, "all will be revealed". All I have to say is.....KILL ME NOW! Just get it over with.
